تدعى مدينة لشبونة بمدينة التلال السبعة نظراً لامتدادها على سفوح التلال المنحدرة المطلة على نهر تاغوس، وتستعرض هذه المدينة الرومانسيّة والعصريّة أسقف منازلها الحمراء التقليديّة على زوّارها المهتمين بالتعرّف على تفاصيلها الصغيرة. ستفاجئك لشبونة بجمالها الطبيعي وبيئتها التي تدعو إلى الاسترخاء. تقدّم العاصمة البرتغالية الكثير من المتاحف والمكتبات، بالإضافة إلى ميناءها الواسع وكنائسها وقصورها، ولا ننسى إطلالاتها الخلّابة على نهر التاغوس. اعتُبرت لشبونة مدينة فقيرة وفوضويّة، ولكنها عادت لاحقاً لتشهد نهضة في طراز عمارة القرنين الرابع عشر والخامس عشر، الذي تطور عندما كانت لشبونة جزءاً من الإمبراطوريّة الواسعة التي امتدت من البرازيل إلى الهند، وتم ملاحظته عند عقد المعرض الذي أقيم عام 1998 للميلاد، حيث بُني جسر جديد فوق نهر التاغوس وتمّت إعادة هيكلة المدينة، وتجديد شبكة المدينة التحت أرضيّة. استمرّت نهضة المدينة بعد ذلك لتستقبل عدداً من المعارض المماثلة عبر أوروبا في عام 2004 للميلاد، كما عقد فيها حفل جوائز الموسيقى (MTV) عام 2005 للميلاد. من أجمل أبنية المدينة التاريخية العائدة إلى القرنين الرابع عشر والخامس عشر للميلاد هي تلك التي تقع في حي بيليم. هنالك أيضاً العديد من المباني التي يعود تاريخها إلى القرن الثامن عشر، والتي يقع معظمها في منطقة بايكسا في مركز لشبونة، وقد تمّ إعادة بناءها بشكل كلّي تقريباً بعد زلزال مدمّر كان قد ضرب المدينة عام 1655 للميلاد. يتوسط مركز المدينة التاريخي التلال السبعة، ويتميّز بشوارعه المتعرّجة والوديان ذات المناظر الطبيعية الأخّاذة. أما على الجانب الغربي للمدينة فيوجد منتزه مونسانتو فورست (غابة مونسانتو)، الذي يعد بمثابة رئةٍ للشبونة، بمساحة تبلغ 10 كيلومتر مربع، مما يجعله المنتزه الأوسع في أوروبا. ميناء العاصمة الساحر يشمل ثلاثة أحواض للعبّارات البحريّة، وهو بالتأكيد من أكثر الموانئ ازدحاماً على ساحل أوروبا الأطلنطي. تتميّز مدينة لشبونة بتاريخها الذي امتدّ على مرّ القرون، بالإضافة إلى كونها مدينة يملأها الطموح، فهي تجمع التاريخي بالعصري، والتقليدي بالجريء. يمكنك خلال التجوّل عبر أحيائها القديمة أن تسمع أصداء موسيقى فادو التقليدية وهي تُعزف وتُغنّى في المطاعم الصغيرة، التي تكثر في حي بايرو ألتو الذي يعتلي الهضبة، مصطفةّ على طول الشارع إلى جانب الحانات التي تصدح بمختلف أنواع الموسيقى من الجاز والريغي وإلكترونيكا التي تملأ المكان وتغوي الناس للاحتفال حتى شروق الشمس. تقدّم مدينة لشبونة نفسها للعالم على أنها مدينة عصريّة وحيويّة، مع توافر البدائل المناسبة لتلبية جميع الأذواق على اختلافها، وخاصّةً في فصل الصيف حيث تكتظ مطاعمها وحاناتها وشرفاتها بالناس.

تُعتبر طنجة نقطة التقاء أوروبا وإفريقيا، واندماج مياه المحيط الأطلنطي مع مياه البحر المتوسط، وتقاطع العالمين المسيحي والإسلامي. تطل مدينة طنجة كبوابة إفريقية على أوروبا من سواحل المحيط الأطلنطي والبحر المتوسط على حدٍّ سواء. تماماً عند ملتقى الطرق العام للحضارات، يوجد ميناء ساحر ذو إطلالة أخّاذة يزدهي تحت الهضاب الخضراء الوافرة والجادات القديمة. اشتهرت طنجة طوال تاريخها بالنزاعات التي كانت تهدف للسيطرة على الحكم، لموقعها الاستراتيجي على الطرق التجارية والاقتصادية للعديد من الوجهات المختلفة، وتُعتبر المدينة القديمة أكثر المواقع إثارةً للإعجاب، فهي عبارة عن متاهة من الأزقة الضيّقة أعلى الهضبة المطلّة على الميناء، حيث يتّجه شارع الصاغة إلى أسفل الهضبة باتجاه السوق الكبير ومنه إلى السوق الصغير، حيث تمتلئ الشوارع الجانبيّة على الجانب الأيمن بالمتاجر. يتّجه شارع المدينة الرئيسي نحو قصبة؛ قصر السلطان السابق وأعلى نقطة في المدينة القديمة، حيث يمكنكم الحصول على أجمل الإطلالات للمحيط والمدينة منها. تطل بوابة القصر على فناء خلفي واسع، يقود نحو قصر دار المخزن ومتحف القصبة الحديث؛ القصر الذي قد بني في القرن السابع عشر ثم قام بتوسيعه السلاطين الذين استلموا الحكم لاحقاً، حيث تعرض الأسقف الخشبية المنقوشة والفناء الرخامي تعقيدات وإبداع العمل اليدوي المغربي. أما محبو فن العمارة، وخاصةً العائد للقرنين التاسع عشر والعشرين، فلا بد لهم من زيارة مدينة طنجة، حيث ستشبع عشقهم بما فيها من الأبنية الجميلة من تلك الحقبة الزمنية. من شرفة بارسو، يمكنك رؤية إطلالات ساحرة على المحيط، والتي لفتت أنظار العديد من الفنانين الأوروبيين سابقاً؛ عندما يكون الميناء أمامك، قم بالنظر إلى أفق المحيط لرؤية ضبابية لظل جبل طارق وجنوب إسبانيا. لا تتركك طنجة من دون أن تترك فيك أثراً مختلفاً شئت أم أبيت، حيث ستختلط عليك المشاعر هناك؛ فإما أنك ستدمن زيارتها، أو ستغادرها إلى الأبد، ولكن إذا بقيت فيها واعتدت محيطها فإنك ستقع في حب جمال هذه المدينة لا محالة، وتبقى الحقيقة الوحيدة الأكيدة بأنّ طنجة هي واحدة من أكثر المدن المفعمة بالحياة في المغرب.
